In mid-2008, NJ TRANSIT decided to rehabilitate one of the older swing bridges between Harrison, NJ and Newark, NJ. Skanska-Koch was awarded the project which included extensive steel repairs to the superstructure. Walker Diving was the subcontractor for the marine work, which consisted of concrete repairs to several piers and abutments, as well as replacing a number of fender walers and boards.
